Through BRICS, Brazil Builds Bridge to Asia


Brazil and its neighbourhood’s shift of attention to Asia, be it somewhat overly emphasised by otherwise clever analysts or believed to be tainted by the prospects of chaos, is nevertheless an undeniable reality.
In all likelihood, the shift to the South, spurred by BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China South Africa), projects a stage where other regions, notably Africa and South America, will also become more relevant actors. The latter is similar to Asia, sharing with this vast and diverse expanse a considerable number of problems and development challenges.
